Privacy Policy

Scriptesia is operated by WebinarFuse LLC ("we", "us"), a New Jersey limited liability company. This policy explains what we collect when you use Scriptesia at scriptesia.com, scriptesia.app, and the Scriptesia iOS app, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and a password, which is stored hashed by our authentication provider. We never see your password in readable form.
- Profile information. Your name, what you make content about, who your audience is, your tone preference, any rules you set, and — if you choose to create one — a description of your speaking style.
- What you submit for a script. The text of your brief, any reference links you add, and any reference photos you attach.
- Scripts and captions generated for you.
- Voice sample audio, only if you record a voice profile or use the voice-tracked teleprompter. See "Audio" below.
- Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive and store an identifier for your customer and subscription record, your billing email, and your plan status. We never receive or store your card number.
- Usage records. A log of credits earned and spent on your account, so we can answer billing questions accurately.
- Basic technical data such as IP address and error logs, generated by our hosting provider in the ordinary course of serving the site.
Video recordings
Recording happens entirely on your device. When you save a take, it is written to your camera roll or downloaded to your computer. Video and its audio are never uploaded to our servers and we cannot access them.
Audio
Two features process audio. The voice-tracked teleprompter streams microphone audio to a speech-to-text provider in real time so it knows where you are in your script. If you create a voice profile, that recording is transcribed the same way and the transcript is analyzed to produce a short written description of your delivery style.
We store the resulting style description only — not the audio and not the transcript. You can turn the style off, or delete it, in Settings at any time.
How we use it
- To generate scripts and captions for you.
- To operate your account, subscription, and credit balance.
- To send you account and billing email — for example, setting your password, or a receipt.
- To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and keep the service running.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to operate Scriptesia, and share only what each one needs to do its job. They are contractually limited to using it for that purpose.
- AI language providers — generate your scripts and captions, analyze reference photos you attach, and derive your speaking-style description. They receive your brief, your profile, attached photos, and the content of reference pages.
- A speech-to-text provider — converts speech to text so the teleprompter can follow you and so a voice profile can be analyzed. Receives microphone audio only while those features are running.
- Our database and authentication provider — stores your account, profile, and credit records.
- Our payment processor — handles payments and holds your card details under its own privacy policy. We never receive your card number.
- Our hosting provider — serves the website and application.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not permit these providers to use your content to train their models. If you need the specific providers we use — for a vendor review or compliance process — email us and we will share the current list.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.
Reference links you provide
When you attach a link, our server fetches that public page so the script can be accurate. Only add links you are comfortable having retrieved on your behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account exists. Billing records are retained as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. If you delete your account, we delete your profile and generated content, other than records we are required to keep.
Your choices
- Edit or clear your profile and speaking style at any time in Settings.
- Turn off the speaking style without deleting it.
- Request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account, by emailing us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data. Contact us and we will honor applicable requests.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we do not hold your video, and we never hold your card number.
Children
Scriptesia is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
